Sesego Cares to sponsor Rotary Family Health Days 2017

rfhd 2017

Sesego Cares is once again one of the sponsors for this year’s Rotary Family Health Days. The event will take place from 3 – 5 October and this year, the aim is to bring free health services to a record 100 000 people.

This year, the National Department of Health is focusing on the She Conquers campaign. The campaign was implemented to empower and support adolescent girls and young women. It was born from evidence that suggests a disproportionate burden of HIV among 15-24 year old adolescent girls and young women in South Africa. UNAIDS has estimated that there are almost 2 000 new HIV infections among adolescent girls and young women aged 15-24 years each week.

From the first event that reached 38 000 people in 2011 to nearly half a million people being reached in five countries in 2016, Rotary Family Health Days is an example of a project that has already grown beyond all expectations

The event, now in its fifth consecutive聽year, is a major public-private partnership that offers access to free health screenings and immunisations to vulnerable communities across South Africa. This year, the goal was to reach 100 000 people.

Free services offered include TB screening, HIV screening and counseling, high blood pressure and diabetes screening, immunisations and more.

If you would like to volunteer at this, a huge public/private partnership with an impressive track record, visit our website at
With so many thousands inspired, we are confident that millions across the world will be served by future Rotary Family Health Days.

No matter who we are or what we do we have the ability to make a positive difference in the life of another. Teaming up with my friends Dr. Daniel S. Rubinshtein, Filthy Rich Barber Shop, and Bison & Bourbon we decided to set up shop in the heart of New York City and help out as many people as we can through the work that we do. You don't need to start a non profit or have millions in the bank to make real change - it starts with an open mind, heart and compassion which we all have within ourselves to make this world a kinder place. #BeKind Like Meir Kay On Facebook Add @MeirKay On Instagram
